Michael and Marina Hunter ran the British stall tirelessly for many years with the aid of a group of volunteers. Hundreds of thousands of Reais were raised by their efforts. Due to illness, this was the last year that the Hunters presided over the British stall at the Feira. Following a call to arms in 2006, Gervaise and Charmian Shorter gamely took over, but due to importation restrictions it became unviable to continue, and this was the last time the BCS had any direct involvement with the feira.
