Rita Davy dies (28/01/1988) at the age of 75. Born in Santa Teresa, youngest of the four children of Mr and Mrs John Davy, she insisted, at the age of six, on joining her sisters at boarding school. Career in advertising, with the CPR Agency, and handled the Elizabeth Arden account. Offered the chance of a beauty treatment by the iconic fashion lady, the salon beautician refused, saying Rita’s skin was so flawless it could not be improved on. Returned to Brazil in 1952 and was a social columnist for The Times of Brazil and Brazil Herald. Awarded MBE in 1982.
